In simple terms, we are “food” engineers. There are many issues involved in the supply and production of food – safety, economic potential, quality, diversity, etc.
We approach each and all of these issues with the highest level of technical knowledge to find definite solutions. Our company is not a huge archaic conglomerate, but is in fact closer to being the “new kid on the block”. However, we are driven by the business spirit of Yuasa Trading, our founding business that was established in 1666, and the pioneering spirit of Yuasa Industries, founded in 1898.
We constantly approach “food” with an innovative attitude that embraces new philosophies, a harmonious attitude that incorporates a variety of needs, and a knowledge that enables us to stay ahead of the times. Armed with these, we are working with all our shareholders to grow our business.

As a “food” generalist, we strive to be “the only one”

In other words, as generalists, we thrive on the diversity of our specialists and the technical knowledge that each individual brings to the company. Generalists make new possibilities happen because they are not tied to conventional philosophies.
We, for example, cultivate our own farms and develop or import new products, and have introduced unique standards management systems that the world currently needs. We strive to be “the only one” by constantly trying new things, refusing to stay within the bounds of “what is usually done”.

Finding “harmony between the two”

It is our priority to cater to both our producers’ and our consumers’ needs, to conduct our business practices in harmony with the environment, and to ensure food safety and a stable supply. There are various values surrounding “food”, and food companies now need to maintain high levels of these requirements. We have consistently and accurately met these demands through our ability to know all about the people and conditions involved in producing our “foods”, while also being the first to ascertain consumer’s needs.

Our History, from “Food” Professionals to “Food” Generalists

In 2002, amidst the dramatically changing food industry, we broke away from Yuasa Trading’s food division to make a new start. We effectively maintained the trading network we built with Yuasa Industries and Yuasa Trading, and further built upon our company ethos and staff. This has enabled us to become better “food” engineers, and in turn we are able to add new value to “food” as needed.
