From the World to Japan and from Japan to the World

We leverage over 100 years of experience and expertise, along with a robust network both in Japan and abroad, to import grains from the world’s major production regions.
We also export Japanese food products, primarily wheat flour, that are highly popular overseas.
Furthermore, we are engaged in various innovative initiatives, including triangular trade, and have earned high praise from customers overseas.

Business Overview

Rice and wheat import business

We are accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, and are also a member of the Grain Importers Association.

Export and import business of processed rice and wheat products

We handle not only rice and wheat, but also processed grain products such as wheat flour, wheat gluten, and oats. We export high-quality Japanese wheat flour, which is highly regarded internationally. In addition, we primarily import and domestically distribute processed wheat products and oats from overseas for the food manufacturing industry in Japan.

Utilizing “by-products” derived from grains as farming materials and processed goods

We handle by-products generated during the processing of grains into food, which include “wheat bran” from the processing of wheat and “soybean hulls” and “soybean meal” from the processing of soybeans. These by-products are widely used in Japan as farming materials, such as livestock feed and agricultural fertilizer.
In addition to farming materials, we are also working on the development of new sustainable products with added value.

Building a new circular business model

We have built our business on sustainable practices by repurposing by-products generated during the grain processing process into livestock feed and agricultural fertilizers. Leveraging such experience and expertise, we aim to build a new circular business model, in cooperation with diverse partners that are unique to a trading company.
In the conventional supply chain, the one-way flow from raw material procurement to consumption results in a significant amount of unused food ingredients being wasted, leading to the loss of valuable resources.
By collaborating with farmers, food manufacturers, logistics companies, and various other stakeholders, we aim to build another supply chain that minimizes the loss of unused food ingredients and maximizes the effective use of resources.
